Purchasing SupervisorAs a Purchasing Supervisor, you'll oversee the procurement process for multiple product lines, coordinate and support a team of buyers, and implement best-in-class purchasing practices. Your impact will be key in optimizing inventory levels, improving on-time delivery, and streamlining processes to enhance operational performance.Responsibilities include:Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate purchasing staff.Direct daily workflow and schedules of the department.Conduct performance evaluations and address disciplinary issues.Develop and implement purchasing strategies and policies.Ensure compliance with organizational procurement policies and procedures.Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to delivery.Evaluate suppliers based on quality, timeliness, and price.Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and services.Manage inventory levels to minimize costs and ensure availability.Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.May be involved in developing and implementing purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.May research and evaluate vendors to compare pricing and services.May be required to perform other related duties as assigned
