Operations Analyst

Our client is one of the largest publicly traded partnerships and a leading North American provider of midstream energy services to producers and consumers of natural gas, natural gas liquids (NGLs), crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals. They are looking to add an Operations Analyst to their Accounting/Finance team in Mont Belvieu, TX! The Operations Analyst is responsible for the gathering, tracking and analysis of financial and operational/maintenance data and converting that data into useful management information. successful candidates must pass a drug screen, criminal background check, employment verification, and education verification. Responsibilities O&M budget performance (actual versus plan with variance explanations). Annual budget preparations (Hyperion) - System availability (downtime). Employee performance (overtime, days off, etc.). Incident tracking (safety, environmental, regulatory, compliance). Identifying ways to spend more efficiently. Assisting in reviewing rate sheets to invoices. Coordinating the integration of redlines into design services and tracking the progress. Ensuring the MOCs are moving forward for Maintenance activities. Management information will be in the form of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to corporate and field management. Special projects and reports. Qualifications A minimum of an Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or commensurate work experience is preferred. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance is preferred. A minimum of 1-3 years financial analysis experience is required. Experience at an intermediate level in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, Outlook, and Project is required. Midstream energy business (gathering and processing, pipeline, fractionation or storage) or related field is preferred. Ability to quickly learn new applications such as Oracle, PI, and others.
