Experience in both labor/postpartum and nursery care is essential. All RNs are cross-trained for Labor and Delivery, Couplet Care, Newborn Nursery, and circulating of C-Sections.

The team emphasizes the importance of experience and comfort with both mother and baby. Our Family Birth Center features a level 2 nursery, and we labor and postpartum in the same room. Having the RN competent in both labor/postpartum and nursery care is crucial. The unit consists of 10 LDRP beds and one Operating Suite. The average number of deliveries per month is between 50 to 65. Scrubs will be provided in OR green, and there is a changing locker room available. A cancellation policy is in place, allowing for the cancellation of one shift per four weeks. Charting is done using MEDITECH.
