As a vital member of the patient care team, you will assess, evaluate, and provide services in accordance with a treatment plan developed by a physician. You will also oversee the activities of Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring quality care is delivered. Peer evaluations will be conducted for your assessments.

Key Responsibilities of the Registered Physical Therapist

• Conduct thorough assessments, which may include OASIS data elements, to determine the patient's physical functioning and need for therapy services.

• Engage in discussions with the physician, gather insights from the patient or caregiver, and formulate a care plan aimed at maximizing the patient's rehabilitation potential.

• Implement prescribed treatments and supervise Physical Therapy Assistants in executing the therapy program.

• Develop and instruct patients on a home exercise program (HEP), documenting the instructions in visit notes.

• Monitor and report any significant changes in the patient's functioning to the physician, and communicate these changes to other team members involved in the patient's care.

• Ensure all services are documented appropriately in accordance with agency policies.

• Maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions and situations.

• Provide the agency with necessary documentation, including a copy of your license/registration, to verify your qualifications.

• Accept only those assignments for which you are qualified.

• Adhere to all applicable State, Federal, Local, and agency regulations, policies, and procedures.

• Keep all patient and agency information confidential.

• Follow all policies and procedures, including those related to HIPAA compliance.

Utilize Your Skills to Make a Difference Required Qualifications

Regulatory Requirements:

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program recognized by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association.

• Must be licensed/registered as a Physical Therapist in the State of Texas.

• At least one year of recent experience as a Physical Therapist.

• Current licensure in the State of Texas is required.

• A minimum of one year of experience working under the supervision of a Registered Physical Therapist.

• This position is part of our Driver Safety Program, requiring a valid state driver’s license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with limits of at least 100,000/300,000/100,000.

Compensation Range

The salary range provided below represents a good faith estimate of the starting base pay for full-time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. Actual pay may vary based on geographic location and individual qualifications, including skills, experience, education, and certifications.

$93,000 - $128,000 annually

This position is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on individual and/or company performance.
