Sr Manager, Medical Affairs / External Scientific Engagement

Senior individual contributor role leading medical affairs initiatives at Baxter, focusing on building strategic scientific relationships with healthcare leaders and key opinion leaders. Drives evidence generation and scientific exchange to advance patient care and support organizational priorities.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strategic scientific relationships with healthcare professionals, KOLs, investigators, and academic institutions
- Deliver evidence-based scientific exchange through presentations, educational programs, and peer discussions
- Gather and communicate clinical insights, emerging trends, and evidence gaps to inform strategy
- Lead external engagement strategies including KOL development, advisory boards, and investigator collaborations
- Partner across Medical Affairs, R&D, Regulatory, Marketing, and Commercial teams on evidence needs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in scientific, clinical, or healthcare discipline
- Significant experience in infusion therapy, smart pump technology, or Medical Affairs
- Prior Medical Science Liaison or external scientific engagement role
- Proven ability to present scientific information to healthcare professionals
- Advanced understanding of Medical Affairs compliance and scientific exchange principles
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and project leadership skills
- Ability to travel 50-70% annually
Compensation: $160,000-$220,000 base annually
