Mechatronics & Robotics Technician – JLL As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will support the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment, and mentor junior technicians to grow in their roles. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures. Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to MHE (e.g., belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays). Maintain a positive working relationship across the operations facility. Track and store department inventory. Move up to 49 lbs, stand, walk, and work shifts lasting up to 12 hours. Provide mentorship to junior technicians. Travel up to 20% of the time as needed. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to work flexible schedules, shifts, and areas including weekends, nights, and holidays. Minimum 2 years of experience repairing material handling equipment. Minimum 2 years of experience in predictive and preventative maintenance. Preferred Qualifications Associate’s or higher degree in a mechanical or electrical field. Minimum 2 years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls. Minimum 1 year of blueprint and electrical schematic reading. Minimum 1 year of knowledge of electrical and electronic principles. Experience with MHE safety standards and OEM requirements. Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Experience with robotic or electromechanical operation and maintenance. Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions. Physical Demands Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking. Lifting parts and tools averaging 20 lbs, occasionally up to 49 lbs. Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, foot pedal operation, and wrist motion. Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long periods, and wet or uneven surfaces. Standing/walking on concrete surfaces for shifts of 10+ hours. Working at heights as required. Pushing/pulling wheeled equipment and carts up to 100+ lbs.
