Temporary Staff Accountant

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support the accounting team on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will have experience with general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, month-end close activities, and financial reporting. This role offers an opportunity to contribute in a fast-paced environment while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries
• Perform account and bank reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Analyze financial data and investigate discrepancies
• Prepare financial reports and schedules
• Assist with audits and special projects as needed
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles
• Experience with ERP/accounting software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Preferred Experience

• General ledger accounting
• Month-end close
• Financial reporting
• Account reconciliations
• AP/AR support
• Payroll exposure is a plus
