### Requirements \n
• Board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Critical Care physician
\n
• Pediatric Critical Care fellowship training
\n
• Active Indiana medical license
\n
• Active BLS and PALS certifications
\n
• Ability to supervise APPs
\n
• Willingness to participate in resident or clinical teaching
\n
• Experience managing critically ill pediatric and neonatal patients
### Required Clinical Skills \n
• Invasive and noninvasive ventilation
\n
• Acute and chronic ventilator management
\n
• Nitric-oxide therapy and ECMO
\n
• Newborn and pediatric intubation
\n
• Conscious and deep sedation
\n
• Bronchoscopy with BAL
\n
• Central, arterial, UVC, UAC, and PA catheter placement
\n
• Chest-tube insertion and needle decompression
\n
• Lumbar puncture, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
\n
• ICP evaluation, management, and monitor placement
\n
• Hemodialysis catheter placement
\n
• Temporary pacemaker management
\n
• Exchange transfusion
\n
• X-ray and EKG interpretation
### Clinical Details \n
• Approximately 8‚Äì12 patients per shift
\n
• Approximately five phone consultations
\n
• Approximately eight patients seen during call
\n
• Approximately two admissions
\n
• 8-bed department
\n
• Level II trauma environment
\n
• Nursing ratios range from 1:1 to 3:1
\n
• Support includes two APPs
