Itinerant Speech/Language Pathologist

Special Education/Preschool Director

Must hold Kentucky License as a Speech/Language Pathologist or be eligible to obtain EPSB certification upon offer of employment as SLP by a Kentucky Public School District.

Conduct speech and language screenings and interpret results.

Report to the ARC Committee regarding student progress and treatment plans.

Develop, revise, and monitor student goals on Individual Education Plans.

Administer tests for diagnostic evaluations and complete reports of findings.

Follow KEG-R guidelines and refer to these as necessary to perform duties of position.

Follow all Russell County Board of Education Policies.

Communicate with parents, administrators, and other faculty to schedule meetings and evaluations as efficiently as feasible.

Schedule therapy and attend meetings to ensure IEPs and assessments are provided or administered according to state, federal, local special education regulations and timelines.

Seek assistance and inform supervisor in the event of any noncompliance of IDEA regulations.

Learn and enter information into automated system with accuracy to obtain reimbursement from Medicare.

Assist in Child Find activities as scheduled by supervisor.

Other duties within the scope of allowable SLP duties as assigned by supervisor or Principal(s).

Render health services as necessary after appropriate training.
