Youth Instructor/Birthday Party Lead

Position Overview ASG is offering a variety of available positions that will fit your style and highlight your strengths. This position is specifically for gymnasts currently in the ASG program or past gymnasts from the ASG program under the age of 16 years old. We offer Junior Camp Counselors (JCC), Camp Instructors, Birthday party instructors, and substitute coaching opportunities. Job Responsibilities Be dependable Ability to create a fun and creative environment for your students. Maintain a safe environment Build fans among the camp group/birthday party attendees. Be flexible in your schedule and work Learn continuously Help your camp/party team fulfill their responsibilities Contribute to the cleanliness of the gym Be solutions-oriented and proactive Have fun At Atlanta School of Gymnastics, we’re constantly developing our people and placing them where they work best. We are looking for candidates with high energy, who love to learn, a champion mentality, and people who have a passion for child development and building family relationships. Desired Skills and Abilities Team player, able to offer and accept productive feedback. Lead a group of 10 kids independently in a safe, positive, fun-filled environment using our Coaching Guidelines and student rules. Excellent verbal communication skills. Strong ability to communicate effectively with management, program participants, parents, coworkers, and community partners if any problem arises. Positive attitude with staff, students, and parents. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic. Must have the physical capacity to be on your feet throughout full 4-9 hour shifts and the strength required to move camp designated equipment. First Aid certified, or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire for birthday parties and 15 days of hire for camp. Experience and Qualifications JCC/Birthday: Willingness to learn and a drive to work with kids. Camp Instructor/Substitute: Some experience with gymnastics, sports, or working with children and a hunger to learn gymnastics progressions. Ability to work morning and/or afternoons. Minor Requirements If you are under the age of 16 you are required to obtain a work permit before you are officially hired.
