CRNA Opportunity

Richmond University Medical Center, a 470+ bed teaching facility in Staten Island, NY is offering a CRNA opportunity. RUMC is an award-winning healthcare facility and teaching institution serving borough residents as a leader in the areas of acute, medical and surgical care, including emergency care, surgery, minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery, gastroenterology, cardiology, pediatrics, podiatry, endocrinology, urology, oncology, orthopedics, neonatal intensive care and maternal health.

Team Leadership: Mallikarjuna Yalamanchili, Chief Anesthesiologist

Requirements:

Current license as a registered professional nurse
Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education
Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists

Responsibilities:

Pre-anesthesia assessment
Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
Discusses anesthetic options and risks with the patient
Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Lifestyle: Staten Island is the southernmost of New York City's 5 boroughs. It is connected to Lower Manhattan via the Staten Island Ferry, which runs across New York Harbor. Staten Island Zoo is home to kangaroos, birds of prey and snakes. The Snug Harbor Cultural Center and Botanical Garden features flower beds, Greek revival buildings and art galleries. Its grounds also include the Staten Island Children's Museum.

Total Rewards: Hourly rate: Per diem W2 - $190/hr. Fully paid malpractice insurance coverage. Leadership and professional development opportunities.
