Step into a meaningful school-based role supporting student health for the upcoming academic year near Jacksonville, FL. Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) are needed in part-time, PRN positions, with flexible opportunities for full-time work as district needs evolve. You will primarily be situated at one elementary, middle, or high school campus, delivering essential care in the health room and responding to students’ varying medical needs throughout the day.

Your journey begins with a required orientation and training session at the district office. Most roles are on a substitute/per-diem basis, ideal for those seeking to make an immediate impact. While these part-time positions may have potential to transition into long-term or full-time placements, preference is given in the order applications are received.

Qualifications:

• Active Florida LPN license in good standing
• High school diploma or GED
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Previous school-based nursing experience is a plus
• Completion of school district fingerprinting (previous prints through AHCA Clearinghouse may be considered)
• Ability to meet time-sensitive credentialing and badge requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct care to students for acute and chronic conditions in the campus health room
• Collaborate with school staff to promote a safe and healthy environment
• Maintain accurate records, communicate effectively with families, and follow district health policies
• Adapt to dynamic school schedules and respond to varying student needs
