Job Title: Material Handler Job Category: Logistics Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Local Opportunity Currently seeking a Material Handler. The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic, growing, cross-functional, and geographically distributed team, responsible for supporting daily Supply Chain functions. This position is located on-site at our Melbourne, Florida office. Responsibilities Supports and assists activities within multiple warehouse and inventory control disciplines across the Supply Chain and Production processes. Primarily responsible for the manual movement, monitoring, and issuing of materials through picking / pulling items to fill pick lists and support Manufacturing Orders released by Production / Material Planners. Additionally responsible for the storage, distribution, inventory management, and records maintenance of material items Perform required cycle counts of material and maintains records as required to monitor and support inventory accuracy. Read and follow work orders and verbal instructions to ascertain material items to be moved Load, unload, and move materials within or near warehouse, stockroom, storage facility, or manufacturing floor. Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand Provide materials to and from inventory location or worksites to designated areas to include the manufacturing floor by use of hand truck, electric dolly, Forklift, or other tool Count, weigh, and record materials moved or handled in an ERP system Support / complete monthly, quarterly, yearly inventory audits Able to lift 50 pounds, use rolling ladder going up to 12 feet, and reach for items on shelves Able to spend considerable time standing, bending, and walking to and from the warehouse and other areas / buildings Ability to prioritize and multitask daily workload Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.) Qualifications Required: US citizenship due to contract requirements and nature of the work Ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance, due to the nature of the work and contract requirements High school diploma or GED Minimum 2 years’ experience in a warehouse environment supporting the manufacturing process Valid Driver’s License required Desired: Forklift/reach truck experience 5 years’ experience working in a warehouse environment supporting the manufacturing process for a defense contractor Active SECRET security clearance Bachelor’s degree Experience using Costpoint Class A CDL Ability to prioritize and multitask daily work Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.) Pay Range There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
