At Fairfax Radiology Centers , our Lead Mammography Technologist combines clinical expertise with hands-on leadership. You’ll continue providing exceptional care to patients while helping guide, support, and develop the mammography team at our Reston-Herndon location.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the day-to-day clinical lead for Mammography
• Perform mammography and bone density exams
• Coach, train, and support Mammography Technologists to promote clinical excellence
• Partner with the Center Manager and Scheduling Supervisor on scheduling protocols, patient preparation, and physician orders
• Adjust schedules and coordinate additional service needs to support patient access and workflow
• Help manage operational challenges, including equipment downtime and scheduling changes
• Maintain accurate records related to Quality Assurance procedures and equipment maintenance
• Ensure mammography services meet established quality and safety standards
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care with professionalism and exceptional customer service

Qualifications
Required

• 3+ years of Mammography experience
  • Preference for someone with 3+ years' experience within FRC
• Advanced knowledge of Mammography Quality Assurance
• ARRT RT(R) certification
• Active Virginia Radiologic Technologist license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong patient care and customer service skills

Compensation
Based on your qualifications and experience, the compensation range for this position is:

$42.40 - $49.88 - $57.36

Placement within the range is determined by factors including experience, education, certifications, and internal equity.
