DESCRIPTION OF WORK This position focuses on determining eligibility for a variety of assistance programs while supporting customers with clear guidance and timely casework. After attending a 14-week Income Maintenance Standard Training Program (IMSTP), you will be completing your job duties in an office setting environment. As an Income Maintenance Caseworker, you will perform the following duties: Eligibility Review: Evaluate applications and determine eligibility for programs such as financial assistance, Medicaid, SNAP, LIHEAP, Nursing Home Care, and Waivers Customer Interviews: Conduct phone and in-person interviews to gather information and understand customer circumstances Policy Application: Interpret and apply state and federal regulations to ensure accurate case decisions Data Entry: Enter information into automated systems and perform manual calculations for case processing Case Documentation: Write clear and thorough case comments to record changes and document decisions Deadline Management: Complete all assigned work within required timeframes and established procedures Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs. Overtime and travel as operationally necessary Telework: This position may be eligible to telework part time. Specific details of the telework schedule will be discussed during the interview process. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to a district office in Philadelphia, PA. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Work Conditions: Assigned duties are performed in a controlled office environment. In counties with district offices, employees may be reassigned to different work sites due to operational needs. Reassignments will be made in compliance with contract language. Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $53,008.00 (before taxes). QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY Minimum Experience and Training Requirements Four years of experience in interviewing or work requiring the analysis and interpretation of data; or A bachelor's degree; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
