Principal Product Manager

Leading the development of Tailscale's dataplane platform, the remote Principal Product Manager will set the vision and roadmap for critical networking technologies, ensuring performance and reliability while managing customer-facing product requirements. Key Responsibilities Set the vision and roadmap for the Tailscale dataplane, focusing on connectivity and reliability Define performance and reliability requirements as customer-facing product commitments Own the application-layer connectivity surface and operator control surface for network engineers and IT admins Required Qualifications 10+ years in product management for networking, transport, edge, or infrastructure products Deep networking fluency across the stack, including routing, NAT traversal, and application-layer connectivity Demonstrated ability to define performance commitments and operate under production expectations
