Job Overview Under the direction of a Manager Information Technology Services 1, within the Infrastructure/Prod Support group for the Department of State Dedicated Team. This role conducts business analysis and quality assurance activities related to the ongoing support of the Department’s applications. Responsibilities Identify, analyze, and prioritize application issues in assigned areas through collaboration with internal and external customers, facilitating meetings with subject‑matter experts, BAQA staff, developers, and users to gather knowledge and document requirements following current BAQA standards. Coordinate meetings with BAQA and development staff to review requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of the work goals. Create requirement documents that convey system and business flows and include audit and reporting requirements as needed. Develop a schedule for reviewing final requirements with business users and obtain sign‑off. Facilitate the creation of performance test plans and conduct user acceptance testing, working with BAQA staff, architecture, and performance teams to create and execute performance test scripts. Qualifications Minimum five years of information technology experience, including at least one year in the appropriate specialty. Six years of information technology experience, including at least one year in the appropriate specialty. Substitutions: an associate’s degree with 15 semester credit hours in computer science or a related field substitutes for one year of general IT experience. Bachelor’s degree in any field with 15 semester credit hours in computer science or a related field substitutes for two years of general IT experience; a bachelor’s degree alone substitutes for three years. Master’s degree or higher in computer science or a related field substitutes for one additional year of general IT experience. Experience in one or more of the following disciplines: artificial intelligence, cloud solutions, human‑centered design, product management, quality assurance, rapid application development, robotic product management, or geospatial information services. Eligibility & Duties Some positions may require fingerprinting, up to 25% travel, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Certain positions are pending civil service approval. Location Pay Adjustments New York City: additional $3,400 down‑state adjustment pay. Mid‑Hudson: additional $1,650 adjustment pay.
