CSP Quality Department Position

Essential Job Functions

1. Establish and track Quality department goals and objectives.
2. Determine Quality department standards, practices, and procedures.
3. Establish and maintain product Quality Standards.
4. Track external customer Quality issues, i.e., concerns, rejections, PPM, and 8D problem solving.
5. Track internal customer Quality issues, i.e., Rejection Tags and Process Alerts.
6. Track supplier Quality issues and performance.
7. Work in conjunction with corporate personnel to support customers.
8. Support plant safety procedures and safety policies.
9. Direct lab personnel regarding performance and material testing.
10. Allocate Quality resources to project teams, programs, and manufacturing process improvement teams.
11. Assist in daily review of production quality performance.
12. Assist Production and Maintenance to achieve effective and efficient production of quality parts.
13. Schedule and chair regular Quality Review meetings to Appraise Management of Quality Department issues to ensure suitability and effectiveness of Quality System.
14. Work with Engineering to develop project launch strategy, capital needs, program timing in support of all APQP, PPAP, MSA and IATF16949 requirements.
15. Work with Quality Engineers and Technicians to document trends in quality, compare against customer standards and plant goals.
16. Support advance Quality activities, elements and schedules.
17. Represents Carey plant at the customer in the area of Quality.
18. Develop short- and long-term strategy to support customer requirements, as required.
19. Manage safety as an equal to other key functions.
20. Monitor departmental action items to ensure timely and effective correction of issues.
21. Hold supervision and employees accountable for safety activities.
22. Support safety training and ensure personnel are in attendance.
23. Know details of all injuries and of corrective actions taken.

Deliverables:

• Department and assigned plant KPI reports.
• Plant-level Monthly Quality Report to Director of Quality.
• Overall Quality department goals and plan.
• Annual employee performance reviews.
• Customer issues and corrective actions logs.
• Process Alert and nonconformance Rejection logs.

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree Required
