RN Registered Nurse

Experience: • 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months. • 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience. • 3 months of travel experience is required. • Experience with Cerner is preferred. • BSN completion preferred. Requirements: • Candidates must have a District of Columbia license (required for submission). • This role will require floating to multiple units • Local & travel allowed. Candidates living • 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - MedStar Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - MedStar Health. Additional Details: References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. Preferred Skills/Experience Previous Charge Experience: Preferred Teaching hospital experience is preferred. Required Credentials You must have DC license in hand, but certain units accept pending (see JD). MedStar will usually accept a later booking date if you have applied for DC licensure. Unit Details Overflow MICU/SICU. Procedures and unit details include EGD, bronchoscopy, Swann, and traction. Patient population includes general SICU and MICU, Neuro ICU, vascular, trauma, and thoracic overflow. Shift & Scheduling Variable 12-hour shifts: 07:00-19:30 or 19:00-07:30. Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week. Every other weekend. Holidays as needed.
