Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated New Build Plumber to join our construction team. Unlike service plumbing, this role is dedicated to the "ground up" phase of residential and commercial projects. You will be responsible for the installation of complete plumbing systems, from underground drainage and slab work to final fit-outs. With 5+ years of experience, we expect you to work independently, lead a small crew when necessary, and interface directly with site managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Blueprint & Design: Read and interpret architectural and mechanical blueprints to map out piping, drainage, and venting systems.

• Rough-In: Install underground sanitary and storm drainage systems, water distribution piping, and gas lines.

• Top-Out: Install venting systems and water lines through walls and ceilings in accordance with local building codes.

• Fixture Installation: Perform high-quality "trim" work, including the installation of water heaters, sinks, toilets, showers, and custom fixtures.

• Testing & Compliance: Conduct pressure tests on gas and water lines; ensure all work passes inspections on the first attempt.

• Collaboration: Coordinate with other trades (electricians, HVAC, framers) to ensure project timelines are met without structural conflicts.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in new construction plumbing (Residential or Commercial).

• Licensing: Valid Journeyman Plumber license (preferred) or equivalent verifiable experience.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in PEX, copper soldering, PVC/ABS solvent welding, and gas line installation.

• Knowledge: Deep understanding of current local and national plumbing codes ($IPC$ or $UPC$).

• Physical Ability: Must be able to lift 50+ lbs., work in crawl spaces/ladders, and handle the physical demands of a construction site.

• Tools: Must possess your own hand tools and basic power tools.
