Tax Preparer

Job Description Job Description Prepare accurate individual, small-business, trust, and estate tax returns while supporting clients through periodic consultations or end-to-end relationship management. This role reviews documentation, conducts tax research, verifies data, and manages mixed-complexity returns during filing season using multiple tax software systems. Completed returns are reviewed by a senior tax preparer before filing. Responsibilities Prepare individual, small-business, trust, and estate tax returns. Review client documents for completeness and accuracy. Conduct periodic client consultations and manage end-to-end client relationships. Research tax issues and apply relevant tax regulations and filing procedures. Verify tax data and resolve discrepancies before submission. Maintain organized tax records and supporting documentation. Manage deadlines and mixed-complexity workloads during filing season. Use multiple tax preparation software systems and coordinate completed returns for senior preparer review. Preferred Qualifications Three or more years of tax preparation experience. Tax preparation coursework or equivalent training. IRS Annual Filing Season Program Record of Completion. Enrolled Agent designation. Experience with tax preparation software and tax research. Knowledge of individual taxation, business taxation, and IRS filing procedures.
