Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct a diverse range of ultrasound exams, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Foster patient comfort and safety throughout every procedure, carefully explaining the process with empathy and clarity
• Work in close partnership with radiologists and referring clinicians to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Manage and maintain ultrasound equipment, addressing any issues swiftly
• Accurately document exams and maintain patient information within the electronic health system
• Keep abreast of advancements in sonographic techniques and best practices

Education Requirements

• Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a pertinent area, either Associate's or Bachelor's
• Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred

Certifications Required

• Valid certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
