CNC Maintenance Technician

Job Details Position Location: Phoenix - 401 Building - Phoenix, AZ 85034 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: High School Salary Range: $32.00 - $38.00 Hourly Job Shift: 1st Shift MUST HAVE CNC MACHINE REPAIR EXPERIENCE $2500 sign on bonus SUMMARY OF POSITION The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. This position is in Northstar’s Continuous Improvement Department, and reports to the Manager CI/TPM/Facilities. The position works with all levels of employees throughout the organization as necessary but does not direct the work of other employees. This is a full-time position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities Must possess good working knowledge of hydraulic systems, motors, pumps and be capable of disassembly repair and reassembly of major machine components Must possess the knowledge to and will be required to perform building maintenance and other associated tasks Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position will not direct the work of any other employees. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Frequent standing, walking, talking, hearing and seeing Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds Frequent reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, fingering, grasping, feeling, twisting, bending and repetitive motion Occasional sitting, writing and typing Visual acuity to determine the accuracy and thoroughness of product and/or parts Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles Frequent exposure to moderate to heavy noise The ability to wear proper personal protective equipment, including earplugs, safety glasses, safety shoes, etc. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Education Required: High School diploma or equivalent experience Experience Required: 5 years of experience working on mechanical repairs in this field or equivalent KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED Must be dependable, professional, flexible Must have a positive attitude and a solid work history Must comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas Good communication skills required Must be results driven Must demonstrate initiative in the prevention of downtime #J-18808-Ljbffr
