Graduate Assistant Instructor - Literatures & Cultural Studies Location: College of Liberal Arts, University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, 1201 W. University Drive, Edinburg, TX 78539.

Scope of Job Graduate Assistant Instructor will be the Instructor of Record and responsible for teaching the courses assigned by the department graduate coordinator. Minimum Qualifications Must be in good academic standing Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher appropriate to the area of service Have successfully completed eighteen (18) hours of graduate coursework in the assigned teaching discipline Be registered full-time for the respective semester – nine (9) semester credit hours during the fall semester, nine (9) semester credit hours during the spring semester, or three (3) semester credit hours during the summer session, or be registered in the required number of semester credit hours to fulfill the remaining requirements of the degree plan Preferred Qualifications Preference will be given to students in the MA English program on the Literatures & Cultural Studies track GTA or GA experience preferred EEO Statement It is the policy of The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley to promote and ensure equal employment opportunities for all individuals without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, genetic information or protected veteran status.
