Overview
Join our dynamic automotive service team as an Automotive Mechanic, where your expertise will drive excellence in vehicle repair and maintenance. In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring vehicles operate at peak performance. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on a variety of vehicles, including engine repairs, transmissions, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, and wheel alignments.
- Service vehicle components such as oil changes, tire rotations, tire service, wheel alignments, and suspension work to ensure safety and optimal performance.
- Repair and maintain diesel engines and powertrain components with precision and attention to detail.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive electrical systems and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair needs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Requirements
- Proven mechanic experience with dealership or automotive repair shop background preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics software and schematics for accurate troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with auto body repair, welding, wheel alignment, tire service, shocks & struts replacement, and auto estimating is a plus.
- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive maintenance tools safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of GM vehicles or similar makes is advantageous but not required.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, must be certified by the State of Michigan . Certified ASE certifications or equivalent are preferred but not mandatory.
