This position requires patient health information to perform the functions outlined as part of this position description.Duties And Responsibilities:Billable patient contact of at least 67%.Perform evaluation of functional performance of inpatients and establishes a plan of treatment consistent with occupational therapy Scope of Practice, involving the patient and his/her family in the design, goals and plan of treatmentEvaluates effectiveness and outcomes of occupational therapy interventions including the patient's and family's response to therapeutic interventionsWorks proactively with health care team (nursing, dietary, PT, speech pathology, physicians, etc) to continually assess patient's discharge planning needs and ensure timely discharge of patientFunctions independently in performing occupational therapy treatments, which may include, but are not limited to, retraining in self-care, neuro re-education, functional mobility, upper extremity function, home safety, splinting and visual-perception, cognitive retraining activitiesIdentifies a patient and significant other's specific learning needs and plans appropriate teaching interventionsAttend staff meetings and inservices as appropriateProvide information to Occupational Therapy Supervisor about complicated patient situations.Secondary:Other duties as assignedAccommodation:Qualified applicants with disabilities may request reasonable accommodation during the application process by contacting Human Resources at View phone number on click.appcast.io or View email address on click.appcast.io.
