Oncology RN Care Manager

Join a dedicated Specialty Medicine team where your oncology nursing skills directly support Veterans through some of the most complex and meaningful moments in their health care journey. As an Oncology RN Care Manager, you will help deliver safe, coordinated cancer care while educating Veterans and families, supporting individualized treatment plans, and working closely with an interdisciplinary team committed to excellence. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to patient-centered oncology practice, clinic improvement, and compassionate care that makes a lasting difference.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Deliver outpatient oncology nursing care to Veterans in accordance with current standards of professional practice.
• Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy agents using established oncology processes and safe care practices.
• Educate Veterans and families on cancer treatments, medication protocols, and care expectations throughout the treatment process.
• Develop and support individualized patient care plans that address Veteran needs during oncology treatment.
• Document oncology care, treatment interventions, education, and follow-up actions accurately in the medical record.
• Apply safe handling and exposure procedures for chemotherapy, biotherapy, and related oncology care activities.
• Collaborate with medical providers, pharmacy, social work, nutrition, integrative health, and other team members to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Contribute to clinic policies, patient care planning, and performance improvement activities that strengthen oncology services.

Driving Requirements: You may be expected to travel 25% of the time for this position to various care locations within the service area, including Veteran homes as part of Home Health care delivery. You must possess and maintain a current, valid, unrestricted state-issued driver's license. You must provide a safe, clean driving record from the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) during onboarding. You must successfully complete a driver's physical examination to demonstrate medical ability to safely operate a government-owned or leased vehicle, as required under 5 CFR 930 and HR Job Aid 05-OB-010.002.
