(ZGIM), a part of Zurich North America, is seeking an Investment Accounting & Reporting Associate to join the Investment Administration and Accounting (IAA) team. Responsibilities:

• Support investment subledger activities, including accounting for securities, applying valuation rules, validating posting logic, and ensuring alignment with control and reporting frameworks
• Executing monthly close and reporting processes by completing assigned investment accounting tasks accurately and within agreed timelines, including preparing and delivering monthly and quarterly investment reports for internal stakeholders, auditors, and business partners
• Developing and applying understanding of IFRS, US Statutory, and US Tax accounting concepts as they apply to investment activities, using this foundation to perform quality checks on system generated results and escalating complex issues to senior team members
• Preparing NAIC statutory schedules by completing assigned sections, applying reporting requirements, and escalating complex or unusual matters to senior team members
• Supporting preparation of US Tax reporting data by completing templates, performing accuracy checks, and escalating discrepancies to ensure accurate and compliant tax reporting
• Supporting cross functional initiatives that enhance reporting quality, strengthen accounting accuracy, and improve end-to-end process effectiveness
• Proactively identifying opportunities to simplify work processes, improve efficiency, and reduce operational risk across investment accounting activities
• Supporting the team's use of digital tools by updating reports, running standard system queries, and organizing data, while learning basic functions of reporting and automation tools and escalating any issues to senior team members
• Supporting the development and maintenance of internal controls and quality assurance processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and effective risk mitigation across investment accounting and reporting activities

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree with 2 or more years' experience in Investment Accounting or Finance OR High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 4 or more years of experience in Investment Accounting or Finance AND Knowledge and practical application of IFRS, US Statutory & US Tax accounting principles. Foundational understanding of fixed income, structured products, private debt, and alternative investment assets, including key asset characteristics, risk drivers, and core investment terminology

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience within the investment accounting industry
• Public accounting experience preferred
• Experience with SAP, BW, or other investment subledger/reporting platforms
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Foundational understanding of fixed income, structured products, private debt, and alternative investment assets, including key asset characteristics, risk drivers, and core investment terminology
• Foundational experience in data analytics, with the ability to identify patterns and monitor trends in data.
• Confident working with tools such as Excel and interested in learning business intelligence platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to help generate insights and support informed decision-making.

• Ability to prioritize tasks, stay organized, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Your pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. We follow local laws to ensure fair compensation. You may also be eligible for bonuses and merit increases. If your expectations are above the listed range, we still encourage you to apply—your unique background matters to us. The pay range shown is a national average and may vary by location. The proposed salary range for this position is $82,375 - $134,875, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 10%.
