Technical Sales Engineer ( HVAC industry )

Summary: We are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer who will play a pivotal role in our sales team's success. You will collaborate closely with our sales team to drive revenue growth, exceed sales targets, and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. This position requires a technical understanding of HVAC products and systems, effectively managing your time, and excellent communication skills.

Essential Functions:

• Generate selections and customer quotes for all the products that we represent, including but not limited to RGDs, VAVs, Fans, and Mechanical Equipment
• Prepare detailed submittals
• Download drawings, specifications, schedules, and details
• Perform accurate “take-offs” electronically using Planswift
• Process stock and factory orders for customers
• Answer phone calls and email requests from clients relating to quotations, order processing, order tracking, freight claims, product availability, field service, and warranties
• Follow established sales processes and procedures at Buckley
• Maintain knowledge of HVAC fundamentals and product lines
• Maintain a working understanding of all the products on our line card by consistently participating in factory and Buckley technical training offerings
• Fulfill customer product and service needs by utilizing product knowledge and soliciting help from other team members and other internal resources

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

• Full time
• Monday- Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm, in the Milford, CT. office

 

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred
• The ideal candidate will have internship or some work experience in the HVAC field
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook
