RN - PACU

RN PACUProvides direct nursing care for anesthetized patients in the immediate post-operative or post-procedural period. Follows aseptic sterile technique according to standards. Evaluates patient's responses to treatments and interventions. Manages patient's pain effectively. Anticipates case-specific needs based on knowledge of procedures performed and pathophysiology. Recovery room has 8 beds for pre and post-operative patients. Department consists of full-time RNs, with RNs in orientation. Covers general surgery, orthopedics, urology, podiatry, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, ophthalmology, and cardioversions. May float to pre-op and assist with other duties during slow periods. The electronic health record used in this facility is Cerner Compass. Availability for call shifts is preferred, with flexibility to float between pre-op and recovery room. Flexibility in arrival times is helpful as the schedule changes daily.
