Tools Design Engineer

Akkodis is recruiting for a Tool Design Engineer for a manufacturer in the Mason, OH area. This is a direct hire position with a pay range of $75K annually to $105K annually depending on education, experience and location. The Tool Design Engineer will be able to create CAD models that can be translated into a functional tooling fixture. Tool Design Engineers with fundamental modeling design, assemblies, hydraulics, drafting, GD&T, and blueprint interpretation will excel in this role. B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent discipline preferred. Equivalent experience in a directly related role will be considered in lieu of a degree 5 or more years of experience in tool design with an emphasis on tool holding fixtures Proficiency in Siemens NX Knowledge of GD&T dimensioning and SPC Experience with developing new tooling designs or major design upgrades for various types of tooling Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry Eligibility to secure a government clearance.
