Job Summary:
An ICU Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in Carlsbad, New Mexico. This travel assignment involves providing comprehensive patient care in a 12-bed ICU setting, with responsibilities including ventilator management, titratable drips, medication administration, hygiene, and patient monitoring. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: Carlsbad, New Mexico
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, at least 2 years of ICU experience, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, and certification through the National Certification Corporation (NCC) is preferred. Experience with ventilators, titratable drips, medication mixing, and patient hygiene is preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification is preferred.
• Additional Information: Floating to emergency room (ER) and medical-surgical (MS) departments is required; floating details include assisting with patient care tasks such as answering call lights, passing medications, transporting patients, starting IVs, and blood draws. When floating to Medsurg, registered nurses may take a full assignment up to 6 patients or act as an aide for up to 12 patients. Fingerprints for all travelers are required, and only candidates from agencies registered with the state of New Mexico will be considered due to the fingerprinting process which can take several weeks.
