Salary: $42,000–$46,500 annually (DOE + caseload capacity) | Additional $3,000/year upon earning a Master's degree
Job Type: Full-Time, Onsite
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 am–5 pm | No evenings or weekends required

A leading nonprofit youth-serving residential organization in the Texas Panhandle is looking for a dedicated Caseworker to join its campus team. In this role, you'll provide comprehensive case management for children and teens ages 5–18, supporting their growth through individual counseling, family engagement, life skills education, and crisis intervention. Working closely with families, therapists, and community partners, you'll play a vital part in shaping brighter futures.

This is a Monday–Friday, day-shift position with no on-call or off-hours requirements — a rare find in this field.

Key Responsibilities

Resident Support & Case Management

  • Engage daily with assigned residents to build positive, trust-based relationships
  • Support family connections through regular communication and updates
  • Participate in individual and group therapy sessions
  • Provide behavioral counseling, life skills education, and crisis support

Planning & Documentation

  • Develop Initial Service Plans and complete 3-Month Reviews on time
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date case files
  • Conduct monthly audits and document resident progress

Intervention & Collaboration

  • Transport residents to medical, counseling, or community appointments
  • Respond to behavioral or crisis situations using approved intervention techniques
  • Contribute to admissions assessments and placement decisions
  • Mentor new Caseworkers and assist with supervisory internships as needed

Compliance & Safety

  • Follow the organization's Model of Care and Leadership standards
  • Ensure compliance with licensing and accreditation requirements
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all residents

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required (Social Work, Psychology, or Sociology preferred; Education, Criminal Justice, and related fields considered)
  • Degree must be completed prior to start date
  • Master's degree preferred; employees pursuing a Master's while working receive tuition support and an automatic $3,000/year salary increase upon completion

Experience

  • 2+ years of youth-focused case management preferred, but not required for strong candidates
  • Experience in residential, foster care, juvenile justice, or family services settings a plus

Skills & Abilities

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Strong time management, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively
  • Commitment to confidentiality and ethical practice

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Valid Texas driver's license required
  • Ability to bend, lift, push/pull, and perform extended sitting/standing
  • Must be local to the Amarillo/Texas Panhandle area or willing to permanently relocate (position is located approximately 45 minutes from Amarillo; on-campus housing is not available for this role)
  • Must pass a background check prior to start

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $42,000–$46,500 DOE and caseload capacity; Master's degree minimum $45,000
  • Fuel Supplement: $105/pay period ($2,700/year)
