Floating Teller - Gaithersburg, Maryland

*Job Title: Floating Teller (On-Site - Gaithersburg, MD)* *Location: *Gaithersburg, MD (Must be able to travel to nearby branches in Gaithersburg, Maryland) *Job Type: *Contract (5 months) with *strong potential for permanent hire* *Pay: *$23.28/hour *About the Role* We are seeking a *customer-focused Floating Teller* to support a high-volume retail banking environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting, enjoys helping people, and has strong attention to detail when handling cash transactions.
As a Floating Teller, you will primarily focus on *cash handling and front-line member service*, while also supporting nearby branches as needed.


*Key Responsibilities*
* Provide exceptional *face-to-face customer service* to members and prospective members
* Accurately process *cash transactions*, including deposits, withdrawals, and payments
* Assist customers with *account-related inquiries and basic banking services*
* *Maintain accuracy and compliance while handling sensitive financial information*
* *Balance cash drawer and ensure proper documentation of transactions*
* *Promote and explain available financial products and services when appropriate*
* *Support multiple branch locations within the local area (Gaithersburg, Germantown, Rockville)*
* *Work collaboratively with team members in a fast-paced retail branch environment*
*Required Qualifications*
* 1+ year of *customer-facing experience* (retail, banking, hospitality, or similar)
* Experience handling *cash transactions* with accuracy and accountability
* Strong *customer service and interpersonal skills*
* *Ability to stay focused and organized in a high-volume environment*
* *Basic administrative and data entry skills*
* *Comfortable working with financial transactions and sensitive information*
* *Reliable, punctual, and able to work a consistent schedule*
*Preferred Qualifications*
* Previous experience as a *bank teller or in financial services*
* *Experience working in a retail or sales-driven environment*
* *Familiarity with banking products (checking, savings, credit cards, etc.)*
* *Experience using Microsoft Office or similar systems*
*Schedule*
* *Monday - Thursday:* 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
* *Friday:* 8:30 AM - 6:30 PM
* *Saturday:* 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM
* If working Saturday, you will receive *one day off during the week*
