Front Desk Fitness Attendant

The Front Desk Attendant serves as the primary point of contact, welcoming members while managing check-ins. They are responsible for answering inquiries and performing equipment and new member orientations. They help maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility while ensuring a positive customer experience.

Your Role:


Member Services and Customer Experience:

• Welcome and assist members, guests, and prospective members in a professional and courteous manner
• Answer member questions regarding facility policies, equipment usage, programs, and services
• Address member concerns and elevate issues to management as appropriate
• Provide equipment orientations and new member orientations to members

Facility Operations:

• Conduct opening and closing procedures for the fitness center
• Perform daily facility walkthroughs to identify safety hazards, maintenance issues, or housekeeping concerns
• Ensure fitness equipment, furnishings, and amenities are in proper working order and report deficiencies promptly
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of all fitness center areas, including cario, strength training, stretching, lockers and common areas
• Management of equipment and the preventative maintenance program
• Light cleaning of the fitness center and reracking of weights
• Assist with the purchase of essential fitness center items such as gm wipes, replacement of small equipment

Safety and Emergency Response:

• Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and follow established emergency procedures
• Ensure emergency equipment, AEDs, first aid kits, and incident documentation materials are available and operational
• Monitor member activity for unsafe behavior and provide corrective guidance when necessary

Administrative and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate attendance, utilization, orientation, and incident reports
• Prepare and submit periodic reports regarding facility usage, maintenance needs, member feedback, and operational concerns

Access Control and Compliance:

• Verify member eligibility and access priviledges
• Enforce facility policies, procedures and code of conduct

Supplies and Vendor Coordination

• Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, office supplies, fitness accessories, and member amenities
• Coordinate service requests with approved maintenance and equipment vendors as directed by PNC

What we are looking for:

• Education:
  
  
  • CPR and AED required
  • HS Diploma required, BS in Exercise Science or similar preferred
• Experience: Customer service
• Skills: Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork
