Job Description
TITLE
Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical & Telemetry

SCHEDULE
Nights, 12-hour shifts

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

REQUIREMENTS
- 2 years of Medical-Surgical and Telemetry experience
- Current BLS certification
- State license in Michigan

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments upon admission and monitor condition trends throughout the hospital stay.
- Prepare, administer, and document prescribed medications, including IVs, and manage wound care or specialized equipment.
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Instruct patients and families on post-surgery care, medication schedules, and post-discharge instructions.
- Recognize early signs of medical deterioration and take prompt action to stabilize patients before emergencies occur.
