Recruitment Information Recruitment Number: 26-0062 Department: Department of Health Positions: Dietitian II: $4,590 per month (SR-18, Step D). Dietitian III: $4,961 to $6,043 per month (SR-20, Step D to I). Note: Hiring rates will be based on availability of funds, the applicant's qualifications, and other relevant factors. Duties Summary Dietitian II: Assesses patients' nutritional needs; develops and implements nutritional care plans and therapeutic diets; counsels patients on dietetics; evaluates progress and results and prepares appropriate reports; and performs other related duties as assigned. Dietitian III: Provides responsible professional dietetic services to individual patients encompassing all areas of dietetics; independently performs the full range of professional dietetic activities; works under general supervision of a higher-level Dietitian; assesses nutritional needs, prepares care plans, formulates therapeutic diets, instructs patients; orders food, oversees preparation and meal service, and assigns/reviews food service personnel. Minimum Qualification Requirements Applicants will be placed on the eligible list for ALL level for which they are qualified. To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements: Legal Authorization To Work Requirement: Must be a citizen, national, or permanent resident alien of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States. Basic Education: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a course of study approved by the American Dietetic Association, including successful completion of a dietetic internship, or other equivalent clinical component approved by the Association. Registration Requirement: Must be registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association or have documented equivalent education, training, and experience with evidence of relevant continuing education. Specialized Experience Requirements: Dietitian II: No experience needed. Dietitian III: One year of progressively responsible professional dietetic or nutrition experience that provides a full professional understanding of dietetic therapy theories and applications. Substitutions Allowed: Possession of a master’s degree in foods and nutrition, dietetics, or institutional food management may substitute for one year of specialized experience.
