Mechanical Assembler

As a Mechanical Assembler, you will use a variety of hand and power tools and fixtures to perform operations that correctly assemble units. You will follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures to ensure quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assemble units using hand and power tools according to detailed instructions.
• Inspect cosmetic chassis defects before installing PCBA.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following all procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Assist in ad-hoc projects such as assembling tables and transferring heavy materials.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in using hand and power tools for mechanical assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
• Six months of experience in assembly work.
• Familiarity with electrical assembly and schematic reading.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in English is required; Mandarin is a plus.
• Accuracy in documentation.
• Knowledge of ISO-9001, ESD, SPC, and IPC-A-610 is advantageous.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Jose, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
