Burrtec Waste Industries, Inc. is a well-established refuse and recycling collection company serving over fifteen municipalities throughout Southern California and employing over 1200 full-time employees. Burrtec continues to grow through company acquisitions and successful bid proposals. Position Summary:
Provides a variety of services to support MRFTS operations, including sweeping and cleaning, litter control, transfer trailer load trimming, and other cleaning/maintenance tasks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Will provide sweeping and clean-up of truck clean-out and other areas.
- Will perform litter control on and offsite.
- May perform load trimming of transfer trailers using the overhead lifeline/catwalk.
- Will clean truck and axle scales.
- Will keep work area clean and organized.
- Will also perform other facility cleaning and maintenance.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Must have good judgement and be able to work safely
- Must be able to understand, follow, and implement all safety and other rules and procedures.
- Must be able to work around heavy equipment and vehicles
- Must have good organizational skills
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience working in and around heavy equipment
PHYSICAL:
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Will be exposed to moderate noise and dust levels.
- Will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions (heat, rain, wind, snow, fog).
