Registered Nurse

Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3rd Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Clinical competence and experience in the care and management of target patient populations specific to area of employment. License: Requires current state Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). Certifications: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent. Must-Have: Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice acquired through completion of education at an accredited School of Nursing.

Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients in an inpatient environment. This individual demonstrates competency in the delivery of care to a primarily adult population. The role includes essential functions adapted from the Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice. Strong clinical competence and experience is required in the care and management of patient populations specific to the area of employment. An Associate's degree in nursing is required, while a Bachelor's degree is preferred. The position requires the ability to float as needed and to work every other weekend.
