Therefore, employment and continued employment with the company is conditioned upon full compliance with the company's Antidrug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program as required by 14 CFR Part 120, 135, 145 and 49 CFR Part 40.Job OverviewThe Manager of Quality Assurance will oversee the activity of the QA department and team, developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing for the organization's products and/or development processes.Essential FunctionsManages the quality system that encompasses FAA CRS/FAA PMA/AS9100 in a business that specializes in major aircraft modifications and repairs, research and development projects, parts manufacturing, and aerospace assemblyResponsible for a team of quality professionals that includes receiving inspection, Corrective Action, Audit and Continuous Improvement programs.Oversees and audits the artifacts for all work performed under the respective quality system. Works with certificate management to maintain and revise quality manuals and supplements, as requiredResponsible for Supplier and Sub K Quality requirementsMaintains adherence to all quality system requirements and ensures work meets applicable regulatory and compliance standardsCoordinates with Accountable Manager to support certification deliverables for programs and productsManages document control applicable to the Repair Station, FAA PMA, and AS9100Uses knowledge in manufacturing and maintenance bilateral to ensure requirements are met for 14 CFR Part 21 parts certifications and export along with Part 145 activities on foreign registered aircraftOther responsibilities as delegated or required to ensure Repair Station quality is maintainedRegular and reliable attendance on a full-time basis [or in accordance with posted schedule].Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company's policies and practices.Embodies AEVEX's cultural values and aligns daily actions with department goals and company culture.Qualifications and CompetenciesSolid understanding of the Federal Aviation regulations, airworthiness directives, methods, techniques, and practices contained in the applicable manufacturers' maintenance and alteration documents, and other data acceptable to, or approved by the FAAExpertise in the management of and execution to AS9100Ability to provide direction/leadership and receive feedback from others on the management teamAbility to read and interpret technical data, repair drawings, and/or engineering drawingsKnowledge of FAA regulations, specifically 14 CFR Part 21, 43, 65, 91, and 145Experience in or familiar with research of aircraft historical records and logbooksExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong work ethic, detail-oriented, and organizedExperience in DCMA flight operations and ground operation procedures compliance and adherence preferredLeadership CompetenciesDirects and provides expert knowledge in the day-to-day function of the department.Identifies, recruits, and retains top-notch talent.Champions AEVEX's culture and empowers employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals.Coaches, mentors, engage and develop the team, including overseeing new employees, onboarding, and providing career development planning and learning opportunities.Sets performance standards and encourages employee engagement and results through delegation, continuous feedback, goal setting, and performance management.Maintains transparent communication.
