Position Summary

AC Moate Industries is looking for motivated, dependable individuals to join our team as Sealcoat Laborers. No prior sealcoating experience is required—we are willing to train the right candidates. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, learning a skilled trade, and building a long-term career in the construction and asphalt maintenance industry.

As a Sealcoat Laborer, you will assist with sealcoating operations, pavement maintenance projects, site preparation, equipment setup, and general labor duties while working alongside experienced crew members and foremen.

Responsibilities

Sealcoating Operations

• Assist with the application of asphalt sealcoat on commercial and residential properties.
• Help prepare surfaces by cleaning, blowing, edging, and masking areas as needed.
• Assist with crack sealing and other pavement maintenance services.
• Follow project specifications and crew instructions to ensure quality work.

Equipment & Material Handling

• Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment.
• Assist in the setup and cleanup of job sites.
• Help maintain equipment and keep tools in good working condition.
• Report equipment issues to supervisors.

Safety & Teamwork

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Work effectively with crew members and supervisors.
• Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Customer Service

• Represent the company professionally while working on customer properties.
• Communicate respectfully with customers and the public when necessary.

Qualifications

• No experience required—we will train the right candidate.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license preferred but not required.
