Media and Communications Intern

Camp Daisy and Harry Stein, owned and operated by Congregation Beth Israel in Scottsdale, is a unique and exciting place. A Jewish overnight summer camp nestled in the majestic Bradshaw Forest of Prescott, Arizona, it is a place where campers discover more about themselves, their abilities, & their Judaism. A summer of fun, a lifetime of memories! We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to take and manage camp photos, videos and outward communication. We are looking for someone with experience working with photography and videography. Skill Set Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills Competent and energetic, demonstrating a love of working with young people Displays a high level of personal and professional responsibility A caring, responsible and supportive individual Self-Starter and team player Responsible to: Camp Director Media Director (if applicable) Position Responsibilities Orient with videography and photography area, equipment and duties Take video/photo footage of all major camp Also rotate through different groups and document a few cabin activities and electives throughout the day. Upload a specified amount of photos (determined by the Camp Director) each day to the website Help develop ideas and content for Facebook/Instagram posts, Blog and websit for parents and family members to see Write, print, and distribute the “Stein Times” each day, except for on Shabbat Develop and present an end of the session slide show at the end of each 2 week session and the end of the month long sessions Create a slide show/video for the camp reunion after camp in December Requisition needed supplies and equipment, as well as, maintenance and inventory of all equipment and supplies. When done with media responsibilities, should be with assigned cabin Evaluate in writing, the Media program, Camp Program, Staff, and Procedures Abide by and enforce all camp policies Sit Shmira (OD), supervise cabins at night as as assigned Position Requirements Entering College Freshman or 18 years of age Experience significant for camping Previous experience in specialty area, comparable to conditions present at Camp Stein. The ability to live in a cabin, oversee campers and work with co-counselors. The ability to handle stressful situations Ability to have open communication with director supervisors about issues that may arise with campers and/or photo/video program #J-18808-Ljbffr Camp Stein
