Radiologic Tech Outpatient Sports Medicine

Primary City/State: Medical Office Building – 8435 N Pima Center Pkwy Scottsdale, AZ 85258 Category: Imaging | Shift: Day | Department: AZ Sports Medicine‑Scottsdale | Sign‑on Bonus: $5,000 | Availability: Part‑time, Monday‑Friday (days to be determined) Responsibilities Under the direction of a radiologist, this position performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. The radiology technologist assumes responsibility for tasks or procedures as assigned, performs data entry operations using hospital software, and may be required to provide coverage at various locations within the network. Review patient identification, orders, and history to ensure correct patient, procedure, imaging site, and protocol compliance. Transport patients to and from the exam room and assist them into position using safe patient‑handling techniques and equipment. Perform radiology procedures and observe patients during procedures to ensure safety and comfort. Administer contrast materials as required and initiate emergency response to contrast reactions as needed. Obtain and evaluate images for technical quality assurance factors, including image laterality marking and annotation per protocol. Utilize RIS, PACS, and other image‑management systems to coordinate daily workflow. Maintain equipment in efficient operating order and perform required quality‑control testing. Contact service for repair and maintenance as directed. Rotate throughout the department as staffing and volume dictate. Participate in orientation, training, and in‑servicing of staff as needed. Maintain an orderly, clean, and safe environment for patients and staff in assigned area. Maintain stock and inventory as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned. Education High School Diploma Completion of an ARRT‑accredited radiography program or U.S. military radiography training (required). Associate’s degree preferred. Experience Successful completion of radiologic training (required). Radiology experience (required). Licenses and Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) – certification required. ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) credential and license (ARRT (R) credential) must be provided before start date. Radiologic Technologist – ART or ARRT license required.
