We are seeking a compassionate and patient-focused Staff Physician (MD or DO) to provide comprehensive primary care services in a rural outpatient setting in Fredericksburg, Texas.

The physician will work as part of an integrated, multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals and families across the community. This position offers an opportunity to establish long-term relationships with patients while helping expand access to healthcare in rural Texas.

• Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care to patients across the lifespan.

• Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, chronic medical conditions, and preventive health needs.

• Conduct comprehensive medical histories, physical examinations, and health assessments.

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and evidence-based clinical guidelines.

• Manage chronic conditions including diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, asthma, and other common primary care conditions.

• Provide preventive care, wellness examinations, health screenings, and patient education.

• Order, review, and interpret laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, and other appropriate studies.

• Prescribe medications and monitor treatment effectiveness and patient response.

• Perform appropriate office-based procedures based on training, experience, and clinic needs.

• Provide appropriate referrals and coordinate care with specialists and other healthcare providers.

• Work collaboratively with nurses, advanced practice providers, behavioral health professionals, care coordinators, and other members of the healthcare team.

• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete electronic medical records.

• Participate in quality improvement, population health, and Patient-Centered Medical Home initiatives.

• Support continuity of care and develop strong, trusting relationships with patients and families.

• Participate in occasional extended-hour clinic sessions based on operational needs.

• Follow applicable federal and state regulations, clinical standards, and organizational policies.

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.

• Completion of an accredited Family Medicine or Internal Medicine residency program .

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.

• Active and unrestricted Texas medical license or eligibility for Texas licensure.

• Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain.

• Current NPI .

• Current BLS/CPR certification.

• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

• Commitment to patient-centered and community-focused healthcare.

• Previous experience in outpatient primary care .

• Experience serving rural or underserved patient populations.

• Experience in an FQHC, community health center, or Patient-Centered Medical Home environment.

• Experience managing patients across the lifespan.

• Experience with chronic disease management and preventive medicine.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems.

• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.

• Full-Time

• Primarily Monday through Friday

• Outpatient clinic schedule

• Occasional extended-hour clinic sessions

• No routine inpatient responsibilities indicated
