Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurse position in San Diego, California. The role involves providing patient care across multiple locations, including Thornton, Jacobs, Hillcrest, and East Campus. The nurse will be responsible for working within a fast-paced environment that requires flexibility to float between units while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 4-week schedule will be sent two weeks ahead of time. No blocked or self-scheduling. RN will receive a phone call 2 hours before each shift to confirm the facility location.
• Required Qualifications: Valid California state license, 2 years of PCU experience, ACLS certification, NIHSS knowledge, and the ability to float to all PCU units and down to Medical Services (MS) if census permits.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in community hospital settings, trauma level I or II experience, and familiarity with EPIC and Pyxis documentation systems.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to all PCU units and Medical Services depending on census.
• Additional Information: Must be comfortable working at multiple locations, including Thorntor, Jacobs, Hillcrest, and East Campus. The RN will work 12-hour shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 07/27/2026. Candidates must comply with RTO policy (7 days of RTO with screenshot upon submission, no RTO in the first two weeks). Active CA license and two manager references are required. No RTO in the first two weeks.
