Medical Surgical Floor position in an acute care setting. The role provides care for patients with cardiac, neurological, and postoperative diagnoses while managing rotating day and night shifts. The position requires clinical assessment, medication management, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification; minimum of 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience.
• Schedule: Rotating day and night shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Every other weekend and every other holiday are required.
• Clinical Responsibilities: Care for a patient assignment with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4; administer and titrate medications, including heparin; interpret patient information in collaboration with the appropriate clinical team; and provide care for cardiac, neurological, and postoperative patients.
• Additional Information: The care setting is acute care. Respiratory therapy manages respiratory needs, and there are no ventilators on the medical-surgical unit. Shift preference and scheduling requests may be accommodated based on department needs. Any scrub color is acceptable.
