Design Engineer -- Automotive Parts Manufacturer (36600)

An automotive components manufacturer near the New Lebanon, OH area is looking for a Design Engineer . You will work with the project manager on design planning & overall production support. The ideal candidate will have previous 2D/3D CAD experience (preferably CATIA).

In addition to salary – you will be paid straight overtime for any time worked past 40 hours

This is a full-time position with excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401 (K), paid holidays & vacation.

Responsibilities:

· Work with the project manager on design specifications and product development

· Design review schedule & report

· Engineering Change Notices (develop & release)

· Participate in customer meetings to determine design needs

· Test analysis & APQP support

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering OR equivalent experience

· 2D/3D CAD experience (CATIA preferred)

· Automotive “Plastic Injection” Part Design experience is a big plus

· Knowledge of automotive interior plastics & plastic injection molds is a big plus

· Experience with assembly drawings (read & understand)

· Able to intermittently sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, & crouch
