Job Summary The Cardiac Specialty Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care and serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience. Responsibilities Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying changes in patient status. Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider. Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner. Administer prescribed medications and monitor response. Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients. Work night shifts (three 12‑hour shifts; 7 P‑7 A) with opportunities for skill growth and professional development under supportive leadership; manage complex cardiac conditions; supportive team and culture. Qualifications Graduate of a school of nursing. Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation. Current BCLS. Ability to achieve and maintain ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.
