We're seeking a hands-on professional with exceptional attention to detail, a strong commitment to quality, and outstanding interpersonal skills.This position may be filled at varying shift times including weekdays, nights, and weekends (shift differential paid during eligible shifts).Please note: Only external candidates and NG employees who are not currently Manufacturing Techs at the Clearfield site may be considered under this requisition.Essential Functions:Read and understand blueprintsTranslate blueprints into fabrications of structural assemblies to include precision drilling, countersinking, and the use of calibrated toolsAligning parts on jigs using templates and fixturesPerforming part-fitting operations: filing sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reamingMeasures parts with precision tools such as micrometers and calipers to verify dimensionsMay modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes to structure and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedureDaily usage of manufacturing shop controls and systemsUse of appropriate PPE when working on the shop floorRecommend and implement continuous improvement activities in production methods, equipment performance, and team effectivenessBasic Qualifications:High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 2 years of experience in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing and/or maintenance environmentThis position requires the ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 35 pounds, working overhead or at heights, and accessing small, confined spacesMust have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret level clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable period, as defined by the company to meet its business needs. U.S. Citizenship required for clearance.Must successfully complete and pass the "ASTAR New Hire Training / Compliance" within a reasonable time period, as defined by the company to meet its business needMust have the ability to work any shiftPreferred Qualifications:Current/active U.S. Government Secret level clearanceExperience in aerospace manufacturingPrimary Level Salary Range: $44,400.00 - $74,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
